Team GLOCK Shines at the USPSA Back to Back Nationals

Dave Sevigny, Jessie Abbate and Randi Rogers of the Team GLOCK Shooting Squad won Limited-10, Limited and Production titles at the USPSA Back to Back Nationals held September 12-19, 2009 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The competition featured 16 stages in each of the Open/Production and Limited/Limited-10/Revolver matches.

USPSA Open Production Final Day 4

The 2009 USPSA Open Production National Championships are over. While unofficial as I write this it looks like 2008 Production National Champion Bob Vogel shooting for Team Eotac has successfully defended his title with a comfortable win. Bob shot a consistent, steady match avoiding costly mistakes that plagued many other shooters. The Open title is another matter altogether.

Here are some photos from the action at the USPSA Open – Production Nationals in Las Vegas, NV. The range is dusty, the weather is clear, and the temperature is Hot and the Action is even Hotter! Photos are from the Production Super Squad who shot a morning schedule today and the Open Super Squad and the Womens Super Squad who both shot the afternoon schedule. Hard to believe that we are nearly a decade into the 21st century. Our lives have been made easier and more enjoyable (though some may argue) by major technological advancements, i.e., Blackberries, search engines, social networking sites, Blogging and TIVO, just to name a few.

The Scene: Just before dawn day 2 of the 2008 Rio Salado Desert Classic Area 2 Championship, Stage 2 “And This Is For You”. Squad 21 receives their briefing and begins to prepare. The first shooter of the day loads in the predawn light, knife in hand awaits the signal to begin. Are you ready, Standby, the morning explodes awake with the new day of competition.

The Western States Single Stack Championship match is fast becoming a favorite match for single stack shooters across the country. With shooters from as far away as Florida coming back each year the match keeps getting better and this year was no exception. The 2007 WSSS was unforgettable to all who shot as the rain, wind, freezing temperature and finally snow accumulation in the middle of Mesa AZ surprised even long time residents let alone unprepared visitors looking for some mid-winter sunshine.
