15th Annual Superstition Mountain Mystery 3 Gun match
The results of the 2010 Superstition Mountain Mystery 3 Gun match held March 24th – 28th at the Usery Mountain Shooting Range are in. Patrick Kelley is the Heavy Metal Iron sights champion. Craig Underdown Tactical Iron champ, Tim Milkovich Heavy Metal Scope winner, Mike Voigt Open winner, and Taran Butler Tactical Scope champion.

In Episode 3 we produce our first Video Podcast, featuring coverage of the 2009 Steel Challenge. Max Michel won the Open Division this year, JJ Racaza was Top Limited, Rob Leatham Top Production, Jesse Abbate set a new women’s World Record on her way to winning Ladies Open and won Ladies Limited and Rimfire as well. Julie Golob was Top Ladies Production second only to Rob Leatham for the match.

Max Michel has won the 2009 Steel Challenge
Max Michel has won the 2009 Steel Challenge World Speed Shooting Championship for the 3rd time. Finishing with a time of 82.09 Max finished ahead of a very strong field of shooters. Jessie Abbate won the Womens Open title in 94.94 seconds setting a womens world title.

The 2009 Rob Leatham DrillMaster Summer Nationals was held July 26th 2009 at the Rio Salado Sportsman Club in Mesa Arizona. At 109 degrees you could say that the competition was heated… or maybe just plain hot! Either way you’d be right on all counts. If you’re not familiar with the concept of Rob Leatham’s DrillMaster Shooting Club it is an on-line membership club that provides members with access to practice drills designed and used by Rob Leatham.

Showtime will be airing a “new original reality series” called Lock ‘N Load. It was filmed at ‘The Shootist’ gun store in Englewood, Colorado.” Apparently they used hidden cameras and only told the people after they had been filmed. Showtime claims that they aren’t taking sides in the gun rights debate, but this is Showtime. I have my doubts. In the promo they are asking “Guns… How do they make you feel?”.

Tripp Research makers of the CobraMag 1911 and AR magazines, has a couple of movies online of high-speed video they created that shows how several firearms function when fired.
