Rob Leatham defends his unbroken title again.

For the 16th time Rob has won the 1911 Society Single Stack Classic / USPSA Single Stack National Championship. If ever there was a year that the rest of the field had a chance, this may have been the year.

The USPSA Single Stack Nationals

are underway in Barry Illinois. Also known as the 1911 Society Single Stack Classic, the match is run on an unusual schedule with some squads shooting Thursday – Friday morning, and others shooting Friday afternoon – Saturday. This schedule makes it difficult to get a clear picture on who might be in the lead.

15th Annual Superstition Mountain Mystery 3 Gun match

The results of the 2010 Superstition Mountain Mystery 3 Gun match held March 24th – 28th at the Usery Mountain Shooting Range are in. Patrick Kelley is the Heavy Metal Iron sights champion. Craig Underdown Tactical Iron champ, Tim Milkovich Heavy Metal Scope winner, Mike Voigt Open winner, and Taran Butler Tactical Scope champion.

The 8th Annual Western States Single Stack Championship

concluded this past weekend, January 30-31, at Rio Salado Sportsmans Club in Mesa Arizona. This year 235 competitors brought out their classic John Browning 1911′s to compete in one of the best Single Stack matches held anywhere.

Media day at the 2010 SHOT Show was greeted with the first of what promises to be a series of winter storms coming from the Pacific. The entire western region has been suffering from lack of rain throughout 2009 and into the beginning weeks of 2010. The normally sunny and pleasant temperatures of Las Vegas gave way to highs in mid 40′s, rain and wind all day Monday.

For many Action Shooting competitors September – October begins to wind down their competition season. September brings the USPSA National Championships, the IDPA National Championship, and October, the USPSA Multi-gun Championship. For many these are the final big matches of the year. But here in Arizona, November marks the beginning of the competition season.
