Sabre sponsors more than a dozen shooting competitions per year throughout the United States. From their own Sabre Defence/Blue Ridge Mountain 3-Gun Match held at the Rock Castle Shooting Center near Bowling Green, Kentucky, in April, to the Ft. Benning 3-Gun Match held at the U.S. Army’s Ft. Benning military base in Georgia every December, Sabre is happy to sponsor these events and to support the shooting sports and the competitors. In 2008, Sabre Defence donated more than $100,000 in prizes and sent factory personnel to compete in these events.

Showtime will be airing a “new original reality series” called Lock ‘N Load. It was filmed at ‘The Shootist’ gun store in Englewood, Colorado.” Apparently they used hidden cameras and only told the people after they had been filmed. Showtime claims that they aren’t taking sides in the gun rights debate, but this is Showtime. I have my doubts. In the promo they are asking “Guns… How do they make you feel?”.

Shooting Gallery Named Official TV Show of the 2009 Steel Challenge
SEDRO-WOOLLEY, Washington – Since 2003 the Steel Challenge has reached the homes of millions of viewers through coverage on the Outdoor Channel’s hit show, Shooting Gallery hosted by Michael Bane, and 2009 will be no exception as the Steel Challenge Shooting Association (SCSA) has again named Shooting Gallery the official television show of the 2009 Steel Challenge World Speed Shooting Championships.

Tactical Solutions Teams Up With USPSA Area 1 2009 Championship

Boise, Idaho-Tactical Solutions has been named a match sponsor of the 2009 USPSA Area 1 Championship. The match is comprised of 12 stages with 270 rounds and features top shooters from around the country. This year’s top winners will receive cash payouts, and other participants will be put into a drawing for numerous prizes donated by match sponsors.

SEDRO-WOOLLEY, Wash. — The Scholastic Steel Challenge (SSC) announced that firearms maker GLOCK Inc. has donated 60 pistols, valued at nearly $42,000, to the new youth shooting program. Two of GLOCK’s most popular models, the model 17 and 19, will include four magazines each and will be used in support packages to help new SSC shooting teams get started in the program. The company will also offer special pricing on additional pistols to further assist teams as they grow.

“Build it and they will come” describes the 138th Annual NRA Convention held in Phoenix Arizona May 14 – 17th, 2009. Attendees flocked to the Phoenix Convention Center an estimated 64,000 strong, standing in lines up to 2 hours for a chance to get into the show. Reportedly the largest convention to date held at the Phoenix Convention Center.
