DrillMaster Summer Nationals

The 2009 Rob Leatham DrillMaster Summer Nationals was held July 26th 2009 at the Rio Salado Sportsman Club in Mesa Arizona. At 109 degrees you could say that the competition was heated… or maybe just plain hot! Either way you’d be right on all counts. If you’re not familiar with the concept of Rob Leatham’s DrillMaster Shooting Club it is an on-line membership club that provides members with access to practice drills designed and used by Rob Leatham.

Firearms Sales Figures Climb in June

NEWTOWN, Conn. — Data released by the FBI’s National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) reported 968,145 checks in June 2009. This figure is an 18.1 percent increase from the 819,891 reported in June 2008.

Smith & Wesson Sponsors 2009 Steel Challenge

SEDRO-WOOLLEY, Wash. — The Steel Challenge Shooting Association (SCSA) announced that firearms maker Smith & Wesson has signed on as a major sponsor of the 2009 Steel Challenge World Speed Shooting Championships. Including sponsoring Pendulum, one of the eight stages at the Steel Challenge, Smith & Wesson will also be the division sponsor for the Open Revolver, Iron Sight Revolver and Women’s divisions.

Happy 4th of July

Buster and I wish you a Happy 4th of July.

We want to remember in particular all of our service men and women who are currently in harm’s way and a moment of silence for those who have given all for our country.

This Holiday 2009 we find ourselves under siege at home from a ideology that is in my opinion, direct opposition to our Declaration of Independence. I think it vital that on this day we remember what this great Republic is all about.
