SIG Announces Own Cash for Klunker Program

Some might say the larger the company, the slower it moves. Not so with SIG SAUER. This ever nimble and constantly growing company (400 employees now!) was thinking on their feet when they came up with “Cash for KLUNKER Handguns” to stimulate our industry economy. The program was officially released on September 4 and garnered a huge and very positive response from local, regional and national media. Basically, SIG SAUER will give you $200 cash when you purchase a new SIG SAUER Classic pistol (P220, P226, P229, or 1911 or SIG556 pistol or rifle) from your dealer’s existing inventory now through November 30th, 2009. Send in your KLUNKER handgun with a copy of your form 4473 and proof of purchase to get your $200. To qualify as a KLUNKER, your handgun can be from any manufacturer, but must be operational and free from cracks in the frame or other key components. The KLUNKER must be a semi-automatic pistol 9mm or larger, or a revolver of .38 caliber or larger. All transactions are subject to Federal, State and local firearms regulations.
