Showtime Series Lock N Load

Showtime Lock N Load
Showtime will be airing a “new original reality series” called Lock ‘N Load. It was filmed at ‘The Shootist’ gun store in Englewood, Colorado. Apparently they used hidden cameras and only told the people after they had been filmed. Showtime claims that they aren’t taking sides in the gun rights debate, but this is Showtime. Owned by CBS. I have my doubts. In the promo they are asking “Guns… How do they make you feel?“.
In one instance they show a statuesque blond sitting on a sofa who replies “I feel… powerful” as she lifts a Desert Eagle from behind the sofa and gives a sly smile to the camera. In another a guy in overalls walking in front of presumably his mobile home in the desert replies, “It make me feel free“. And the babe getting a tattoo? “Hot”. The suburbanite sitting on his porch? “Anxious” yet he is the one shown later to be holding an AK. The tattoo girl? A pair of sub guns. And the trailer dude? Kisses his AR and in a breathy voice says “It’s real”.
“A series about guns… and the people who buy them”. Liberal translation “A series about guns… and the whacko’s who buy them” is my guess.
I definitely have my doubts. No word on when it will air. Here are the preview clips. If you don’t have it you might have to install Brightcove which is a player codec.
